My blog is lacking

because I've been far too busy escaping introspection.  I wish I had some guidance.

I am too easily addicted to concepts.

So for the past few hours I've been doing online research trying to find a highly imaginative scifi/fantasy novel showcasing a heartfelt (not trashy) romantic (not war-centered or apocalyptic) storyline. Something surreal, escapist, philosophical, poetic, and magical. Something that surpasses basic folklore (i.e. dragons, vampires, etc.) I didn't think it would be such a difficult novel genre to come across, but it appears that's the dilemma I'm in.

Just to give you a visual of what I'm trying to explain, please view these first few screen shots from the movie The Fountain.

A book that does fit most of the criteria is Anthem by Ayn Rand. However, I've already read it and would like to read something else. Preferably lengthier.

If you can offer me any guidance or recommendations that fit this criteria, it would be greatly appreciated. =)

Magical romance.

There is something quietly sensual about a light dusting of snow.

Lucky roses.

I never stopped loving you.

Me to Him:

"I don't understand stoplights or food.
Well, the whole of civilization, really.

The evolution of newfound possibilities into formal grind.
Obedience to social constraints.
Conscience versus impulse.
Marketing and the perpetual bombardment of advertisments for products that will aid in outlining your character.

Not doughnuts, though.  Doughnuts I understand completely."
